Hi, I’m Angela Harper, and I’m excited to be part of the Dendros team.
I’m from Alexandria, Minnesota, and my background is in advocacy, disability services, and social work. Right now, I work as a CDCS Support Planner, helping individuals and families create personalized support plans that support independent living and real choice.
I also serve as a surrogate parent in special education meetings, where I advocate for students who need extra support during the IEP process. It’s a role I take a lot of pride in because every student deserves someone in their corner.
Beyond that, I volunteer with MN Adult & Teen Challenge, and I’m a graduate of Partners in Policymaking through the MN Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities. That experience really deepened my passion for creating systems change and protecting disability rights.
What makes my perspective a little different is that I’m not just coming from a professional standpoint — I also have personal experience navigating the disability services system. I know firsthand how overwhelming and complicated it can be, and that’s what drives me to advocate for real, practical solutions that make people’s lives better.
I’m passionate about building communities where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. I genuinely believe that real change starts when we listen to people’s experiences and work together to create a better system for everyone.
