Maya Larson (she/her) is the Project Manager/Administrative Team Lead with Dendros Group. She brings skills in organization and communication. Maya is especially passionate about disability rights and dreams of a world where all disabled people have the resources to live the lives they want with the support services they need.

Born in Minneapolis, Maya grew up hard of hearing and was mainstreamed in public school. In high school, she learned about her progressive vision loss. She identifies as deafblind. Maya is conversational in ASL and French.

Maya previously worked for the Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing where she focused on administration and communications. Prior work experience includes Wellshare International, a community health nonprofit, and Alliance For Citizen Directed Supports, a disability self-determination nonprofit.

Maya received her BA in English and French with honors from Grinnell College in Iowa. At Grinnell, she co-founded the Grinnell Disability Alliance to foster more engagement and support for students with disabilities. Maya is currently a trustee with the Minnesota DeafBlind Association, a member of the Young Women’s Initiative, and serves on the deafblind committee of the State Rehabilitation Council for the Blind.

Maya enjoys creative writing, reading, lifting weights, and going on walks with her guide dog.
