As a Partner in The Dendros Group, Liz uses her expertise in survey design and engagement processes to assist in developing new surveys and measuring progress on strategic and cultural goals. Liz began at Dendros as an Associate, focusing on grant writing, community-based systems dynamics modeling, and utilizing systems mapping tools for community change. In addition, Liz is the Founder of Freya + Co, an organizational leadership consultancy. In this role, she provides non-profit strategy and fundraising, association management, and scalable services for organizations in transition. Liz also offers expertise in board governance, strategic planning, fundraising, grants management, digital communications, and event planning. She has represented the LGBTQI community on a review panel for the Minnesota Department of Health's COVID-19 outreach and engagement funding opportunity and served on the planning committee for a social service organization addressing youth homelessness.

Liz's experience also includes roles at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, where she served as the Director of Strategy and Evaluation, leading initiatives to reduce tobacco use, increase physical activity, improve healthy eating, and advance health equity. She played a significant role in designing and measuring corporate health improvement goals and led a statewide diabetes awareness and behavior survey. She served as the leadership team sponsor for an racial equity action team that explored the structural racism built into the grantmaking process. The team redesigned their funding process to account for inherent inequities in the outreach, application, evaluation and notification processes. Liz also held positions as an Evaluation Manager and Senior Program Evaluator at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where she provided leadership, planning, and oversight for measuring outcomes and progress towards strategic goals.

Previously, Liz worked at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota as the Director of Institutional Advancement, securing funding for various pediatric programs, managing donor prospecting and cultivation teams, and overseeing grant and contract management. She also served as an Institutional Support Officer, increasing foundation, corporate, and public-sector grant support.

Liz began her career at the Minnesota Department of Health as a Research Scientist and Acting Program Director, where she provided program management, coalition leadership, research and evaluation, and training and technical assistance in the field of cancer prevention and control. While studying as a Fulbright Scholar, Liz earned her Master of Philosophy in Health Promotion from the University of Bergen in Norway. She is a proud alumna of Wellesley College.
